THE iGREEN FLOWERS IN PLANTABLE PAPER FOR ADMO EMILIA ROMAGNA

Seeds of hope, flowers of life: the iGreen paper with seeds to celebrate easter with ADMO Emilia Romagna, the Italian Bone Marrow Donors Association.

“Flowers of hope, seeds of life” – this is an evocative and impactful message for an eco-sustainable communication campaign which combines love for mankind and love for nature. How? With the “A Dove for Life” fundraising campaign organized by ADMO, the only Italian association for bone marrow donors. The ADMO Emilia Romagna association has decided to include the iGreen flowers in plantable paper, customized with the colors of ADMO ER, among the products of the campaign, with a minimum offer of 4.50 euros.

ADMO, bringing hope since 1990

ADMO is the acronym for “Associazione Donatori di Midollo Osseo”, Association of Bone Marrow Donors, a non-profit organization founded in 1990 with the aim of raising awareness about pathologies such as leukaemia, lymphomas, myeloma, and on bone marrow donation and transplantation, which is the only way to combat neoplasms of the blood. The association works closely with both potential volunteer donors and institutions, carrying out a fundamental service to the community. From an institutional point of view, ADMO collaborates with all the relevant Authorities including information, consultancy and awareness tasks regarding large-scale recruitment and volunteer typing campaigns.

ADMO deals with all stages of the donation, from preliminary information to providing real support in the path to becoming a voluntary donor. Becoming a donor is particularly meaningful because some people suffering from blood cancer cannot access a donation from a relative, and in these cases, it is essential that there is as large a pool as possible of typed donors. That is, the genetic characteristics of the donors need to already be known and registered in a special register, the Italian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, actively created and maintained by ADMO since 1990.

The flowers of iGreen Gadgets, made in a special paper that becomes a plant

The iGreen plantable paper is a special recycled paper available in different weights, from the thinnest to the lightest. Its main feature is that it comes with seeds inserted in the paper itself. This means that those who receive their own plantable paper flower as a greeting card, invitation, or bookmark, can just plant it in soil, and enjoy watching a plant sprout after a few weeks. An intelligent way to make eco-sustainable communication, by impressing people and brightening up their spaces with a colorful plant.
Furthermore, the customization possibilities make this flower suitable for any type of use, starting with its size, 16.1 × 8.5cm, the possibility of choosing among 28 different colors and among a variety of plants ranging from wildflower mixes including: Gilia Tricolor, Clarkia, Black Eyed Susan, Catchfly, Dandelion; or herb mixes with a trio of the plants that are most commonly used in the kitchen: basil, parsley and oregano. Finally, the plantable paper can also be customized by including specific seeds such as basil, parsley, dill, thyme, chives and even lettuce, carrot and basil, to add the fun of deciding in advance which plant to donate.
