iGreenGadgets for Aran Cucine at the Super Brands Awards: Plantable Colored Pencils

Winner of the 2018 edition of the Super Brands Awards during the last Salone del Mobile Aran Cucine opened the doors of their new flagship store in Piazza San Gioacchino, in the heart of Milan’s Porta Nuova, to host all the companies that are part of the Superbrands.

All the companies in the Superbrands network are selected by independent experts and a popular jury, based on criteria such as the high quality of their products, and the constant commitment to putting sustainability at the center of their brand growth strategies.

Aran Cucine always stood out because of their tenacious environmental efforts. With these in mind the Italian company renewed, for the second consecutive year, the partnership with iGreen. And iGreen created and customized colored plantable pencils for Aran Cucine for the event held on April 11 for the Super Brands.

Made of 100% biodegradable birch wood, the colored plantable pencils feature a capsule containing non-GMO seeds that will sprout when watered. An original way to underline the company’s attention towards environmental issues, and a gift idea that does not go unnoticed, thanks also to the variety of seeds available.

The wide selection of seeds, alongside more traditional herbs and flowers such as daisy, basil, sunflower, sage, forget-me-not, and thyme, includes less common plants such as coriander, chia, and cherry tomato.

Each seed sort can be told apart thanks to the distinctive color of the capsule: green for basil, yellow for daisy seeds, orange for sage, blue for forget-me-nots, brown for coriander, pink for thyme, red for carnation and purple for chia seeds.

To complete the offer, the customization possibility involves not only the pencil itself, but also the packaging – made entirely of recycled paper – with logos, graphics and texts on customer request. The printing surface is 10 × 0.5cm on the pencil, and 21x5cm on the sprout case, a space that allows versatility also in the choice of the contents.

All of this makes our colored plantable pencils a real green gadget, combining originality and user friendliness.
